But the on-air promo people at USA Network demonstrate how sharp branding and superb graphic design can capture and hold the viewer’s attention with the launch and episodic promos for the network’s original series Touching Evil. Design elements, like floating shards of broken glass, are used as wipes to slice between frames and reveal layered graphics beneath. Harshly slanted lower third banners and network logo treatment maintain a consistently dark, intriguing feeling throughout.
