Lance Armstrong, the 7 times Tour de france winner, was running in the Boston Marthon. The creative brief was challenging from a technical standpoint. The client wanted to show Lance cycling then jumping off his bike and joining the marathon. To achieve this effect we could only use archive footage of Lance cycling and running as a shoot was not possible. After looking at hours of footage we found 2 shots that with a lot of rotoscoing and rebuilding the bicycle in 3D created the desired effect.
